The B vitamins are a group of water-soluble vitamins that work well together to support nervous system health. Together, the B-complex vitamins provide nourishment for the occasional stress of daily living.† B complex vitamins promote energy metabolism, with each nutrient performing a unique role in maintaining proper metabolic functioning.

The recommended intake is unique to each individual B vitamin, but it is important to get adequate amounts of each one since they all have their own role to play in maintaining optimal health. Since the B vitamins are water-soluble, they are not readily stored in the body making daily dietary intake necessary. Natural food sources of B vitamins include animal products such as turkey, tuna, eggs and milk as well as lentils and beans.

Sodium and potassium are major minerals, meaning they are each found in amounts greater than 5 mg in the human body. Both are considered important electrolytes, meaning they appear as charged particles in solution, making them capable of conducting electricity. Potassium works with sodium to regulate the body’s water balance. This allows blood flow and nutrient delivery to active muscles to be maintained during exercise. When taken with adequate fluids, electrolytes help to promote hydration. Electrolytes are also important for helping to regulate nerve signals from the brain and spinal cord to muscles.

Minerals such as sodium and potassium cannot be produced by the body so they must be obtained through dietary means. The best sources of potassium include fruits and vegetables such as potatoes, dried apricots and bananas. Sodium is commonly found in the diet as it is added to a wide array of processed foods. During prolonged, high-intensity exercise, electrolytes can be lost through sweating, making supplementation particularly suitable for active individuals.

Vitamin C is one of the most effective antioxidants naturally found in the body. Antioxidants help fight free radicals and assist in maintaining good health. Free radicals are unstable compounds that can occur naturally in our bodies as by-products of metabolism. They can also be produced from environmental factors like pollution, car exhaust, and smoking. Free radicals can contribute to oxidative stress and can interfere with a normal cell’s ability to function.

Humans cannot synthesize their own vitamin C so it must be obtained from dietary sources. Vitamin C is found in foods such as citrus fruits, kiwi, strawberries, bell peppers and potatoes.

SUGGESTED USE: Chew one (1) tablet one to two times daily, preferably with a meal.

No Yeast or Gluten.

Some scientific evidence suggests that consumption of antioxidant vitamins may reduce the risk of certain forms of cancer. However, FDA does not endorse this claim because this evidence is limited and not conclusive.
